My birth name is Laura Bingelyte and my spiritual name Saraswati Joti Satya Kaur. I use my spiritual name in order to embody the energy while I teach. Saraswati was given to me by one of my kundalini teachers. Saraswati is a Hindu goddess representing music, speech, wisdom, and the arts. Per my teacher, Samadhi, "Saraswati resides in the voice. She is the goddess of purity and the true essence of self. Saraswati is the "woman of water" who is powerful, flowing, and intuitive. She is the source of creativity and insight. This name is connected to the sattvic energy, which is ethereal, refined, and balanced." Joti Satya Kaur was given to me by 3HO and it means "the Princess/Lioness who is filled with infinite Truth by connecting to God's divine light. Joti is one who is filled with light. Satya is one who is filled with Truth. All females receive the name Kaur - the Princess/Lioness of God who walks with grace and strength throughout her life... [Joti Satya Kaur is one whose] oneness with luminosity of the Divine inspires and uplifts the minds and hearts of all those around [her] with radiance, awareness, harmony and the conviction to always live truthfully."
I was born in Lithuania, graduated from Arizona State University with my Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering (2021), and currently live in Clearwater, Florida. While I was in school, I was participating in Yoga Teacher Trainings and fell in love with the practice. I finally found something that brought me joy and sparked my passion, redirecting my life path towards bringing healing and wellness to others.
I especially loved my time with SuperHealth, learning about how Kundalini Yoga can aid in recovering from addictions. The healing is focused on the root cause that triggers the cravings rather than painstaking abstinence. We approach healing through love and compassion, finding the internal power to overcome the addiction, using kundalini yoga to rebalance all of the bodily systems that become dysfunctional through the use of substances. After over a decade of being a daily chronic marijuana user myself, SuperHealth helped me commit to recovery release my addiction in February of 2022. I am now committed to sharing these teachings and helping others find mental strength and wellness outside of unhealthy coping mechanisms.
